Effects of Gibberellic Acid , IAA , CCC , and B-995 on Growth and Absorption of Labelled Phosphorus in Pea Plants

Abstract
The effects of Gibberellic acid(GA), IAA, CCC, and B-995 on the growth, absorption and translocation of Phosphorus-32, utilization rate of phosphorus applied to pea plants were studied. The results obtained were as follows:Plants treated with CCC were retarded in plant height, and those treated with GA not affected. No differences were found in number of leaves and dry wt per plant. GA increased top fresh wt, but CCC markedly decreased it. Plants treated with CCC and B-995 tended to show heigher Tops/Roots ratio than those treated with other chemicals. In plants treated with CSC and B-995, specific activity of phosphorus-32 was heigher than the control. Phosphorus-32 was accumulated in leaves and stems rather than roots in plots treated with CCC and B-995, but in roots rather than leaves and stems in the control.
